Demo at Desert View 4/26

Hail, good populace

On April 26th starting at 9:30 am and ending at 11 am there will be a Demo at Desert View High School. We are looking to have demonstrations of the Arts, Sciences and Fighting! The class has been focusing on Shakespeare’s Hamlet so we would really appreciate getting some Rapier fighters out to demonstrate the sword and dagger style of fighting, however the point of the demonstration is to introduce the students to the SCA in general so anyone who wants to come out is welcome and appreciated! Please message me privately so I can put you on the list of demos.

Populace of Atenveldt, The Crowns and Heirs salute you and hope these letters find you well.

On Sunday, the 11^th of April, a variety of meetings were scheduled to consider and share information specific to the Board of Directors (BoD) Reopening announcement. This is a collection of details and questions gathered in those meetings. We thank you for your attendance and participation.

While we are all eager to reopen and begin to meet in person, we have been given some strict guidelines to follow and based on these additional guidelines, the Crowns, heirs and seneschals will not be reopening the existing kingdom calendar for gatherings and events as of June 1^st, but are committed to reviewing options and guidelines to determine if, and how, we might be able to reopen beyond that date based on data available at the end of May.

Prior to planning any gathering, we must collect and prepare a significant amount of information specific to local ordinances across these lands (the modern state of Arizona) which are vast and varied from one municipality to the next. In spite of the way the announcement reads, we must submit our plans (to the BoD) prior to any events occurring.
