The Baron and Baroness
The Baron and Baroness oversee the local Barony and act as representatives of the Crown. They should be addressed as “Your Excellency”.

Baronial Seneschal
The Baronial Senechal is the legal representative for the Barony in the outside world. Seneschals act as the chief administrative officer, similar to a group’s president.

The Deputy Seneschal

The Deputy Seneschal assists the Baronial Seneschal with specific assigned duties, and will also act as the Legal Representative when the Baronial Seneschal is not able to do so.

The Emergency Deputy Seneschal
The Emergency Deputy Seneschal is the legal representative of the Barony when neither the Seneschal nor the Deputy Seneschal is available. The Emergency Deputy Seneschal’s primary focus is to be ready to act as the Baronial Seneschal at a moment’s notice, should that need arise.
Chancellor Of the Exchequer

The Chancellor of the Exchequer (also known as “The Exchequer” or “The Reeve”) is In charge of the financial affairs of the barony. In most groups, this position is the same as a Group Treasurer.

The Deputy Exchequer assists the Baronial Exchequer with specific tasks as assigned, which often includes the handling of money at events.
Armored Combat (AC) Marshals

Armored combat marshals are in charge of the rules and regulations for armored combat. They see to the safety of the participants and onlookers. They are responsible for keeping records of who is locally authorized for Armored Combat, and assisting new fighters in their training.

The Black Boar Pursuivant Herald is in charge of helping people research their names and heraldic devices in preparation for submission to the College of Heralds.

Black Boar Court Herald – Vacant
The Baronial Court Herald (aka the Black Boar Herald) is the “Voice” of the Baron and Baroness, and is often called upon to Herald events in Court, on the Tourney Field, and even during “roving Courts” at some events. In addition, the Black Boar Herald would submit a report to the Kingdom Herald, letting them know any awards that were given at events.

Baronial Chatelaine: Lady Úlfrún galti Bergsdóttirr
Are you new to the SCA or just to the area? You should seek out the Chatelaine. The Chatelaine can help you get acquainted with other people and answer questions you may have. The Chatelaine is also responsible for organizing demonstrations done by the Barony.

Baronial Sheriff

Along with providing security, the Sheriff keeps track of lost and found items. If you lost something at a Fighter-Practice or at a Baronial Event, please contact our Baronial Sheriff, as found items will be given to them.
Baronial Waiver Secretary

The waiver Secretary is responsible for making sure that ALL participants at Fighter Practices and Local Events have either an SCA Membership, or have signed the Non-Member Participant Waiver. This important position often works side-by-side with the Exchequer and the Combat Marshals.

Baronial Mistress of the Lists

An invaluable position, the person running the lists keeps track of the results of the combat scenarios. In order to fight in a tournament, you would need to present your Fighter Authorization Card (aka Yellow Card) to this person.

Baronial Regalia Officer

The Baronial Regalia Officer’s primary responsibility, is to maintain records of who has possession of items that are the property of the Barony. These items can range from Wardrobe Accessories, to the Coronets worn by the Baron and Baroness.

Baronial Children’s Minister
The Children’s Minister is available at some events to provide entertainment for the younger attendees of the event. Parents or Guardians are still responsible their child. Children are not to be left unattended with the Children’s Minister or their Deputy.
