May Letter from Their Excellencies:

Greetings good people of Tir Ysgithr, Gem of Atenveldt!

It has been a busy, tumultuous time since the great Estrella War. We have seen our Crown Prince and Princess chosen and we have seen two sets of our Noble Cousins step aside for their heirs. Ered Sul and Sundragon both have new rulers, war-like individuals, if rumor is to be believed, that have set their sights on one another's lands. Forces are marshalling in the dark; hidden armies skirmish across borders and it would behoove us to prepare ourselves for anything. On account of these dark rumors, our armies, both rapier and armored, will be having melee practice once a month. We would see Tir Ysgithr prepared and our borders secured; our armies strong and vigilant. One never knows what may happen outside one's own borders.

There is lighter news, however. The tournament to determine the defender of the Gawd Awful Grail is this month. It is with great sadness that His Excellency must declare himself unfit, unwell and unable, to try and take up this burden again. He must now rely solely on others to bare this heavy burden. Remember, this is an unbelted tournament, so come out and show your prowess and have a good time.

Also, it is time to prepare yourself for the Boaronial Arts and Science competition. If you haven't started your projects yet, get cracking, the competition is right around the corner. And as everyone should know, we have a fondness for the arts and would hate to not have an arts Champion again. We would also like to thank everyone that helped with Her Excellency's vigil and laurelling. Without the help and support of many, many, great people in this Barony, things would not have gone so well or been so enjoyable. You are truly a kind and generous populace.
